Cleveland Acme Exterminating Company, a family-owned and operated business, has served the Greater Cleveland Community since 1964.

In 1964, Robert and Martha Caldwell started Cleveland Acme Exterminating Company, Inc.  The hallmark of the company was to provide excellent service to the community they knew and loved. Under Robert and Martha’s leadership, Acme quickly became known as a local pest control company with knowledgeable staff offering prompt and friendly service. Acme has continued its commitment to education and professional development of staff. Robert constantly instilled in the staff that it’s not just about spraying chemicals, but rather using Integrated Pest Management techniques to deliver services that the clients deserved.

For 60 years, Acme Exterminating’s dedicated and trained staff have serviced residential accounts throughout the Cuyahoga, Lake and Summit counties. Commercial accounts included the City of Cleveland, City of Shaker Heights, City of Warrensville Heights, Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, State of Ohio, Cleveland State University and Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority, nursing homes and churches.  Acme’s growth and professionalism led to Robert’s leadership roles within the industry, including serving as the president of the Ohio Pest Management Association, charter president of the Greater Cleveland Pest Control Association, and president of Pi Chi Omega, the professional fraternity of entomologists. He has also served on a variety advisory boards for the National Pest Control Association and numerous community organizations.

As the pest control industry has evolved over the past 60 years, Acme has continued its commitment to providing quality residential pest management solutions. As a locally-owned and operated company, we provide the personal attention that align with the core foundational values upon which Cleveland Acme Exterminating Company was built. With commitment from a strong family, Robert and Martha’s son, Gary Caldwell, continued to build on Acme’s tradition of customer service. Over the years, three generations of the family have worked within the business.
